More girls are worried about their relationships than boys, according to detailed market research conducted by 199QUERY. 199QUERY analysed the last 10,000 relationship questions and discovered over 65% were from girls. 70% of these were girls asking about their boyfriends. By contrast, boys were more interested in themselves or their mates - only 25% were about their girlfriends!

"Girls are more likely to ask us if their partners are right for them than guys are" says 199QUERY media manager Katrina Welling. Questions vary from practical "Is he the one for me" to predicting "Who will I marry?" "We use a combination of astrology, numerology and humour to answer those ones"

70% of relationship questions are couples asking about each other. The remaining are about dating tips and ideas. "We had one customer starting their evening asking us about dating tips" explains Katrina Welling "a few hours later it was if they should go all the way on the first date, so our advice was obviously successful!"

The market analysis was conducted on 10,000 questions received in the last few months that were about friendships or relationships. The gender of the user is determined by analysing the questions for gender specific words and names and comparing these against a large database.
