Students ponder this sporting life
199QUERY is proudly supporting Australian University Sport 2007 through a unique interactive sports results system, as well as donating a substantial percentage of proceeds to the University Games.
The unique sports results system allows patrons of the games to ask specific queries pertaining to the games. Questions such as sports results, directions to venues as well as advice on what costume to wear at tonight's specific event can be asked of the service. These questions, with their answers are also streamed live across the Circle on Cavil big screen at the Gold Coast as they come in.
"We're excited to offer this service to our participants" says David Graham, Commercial Manager for Uni Sport. "They will be able to ask questions in plain English about any aspect of the Games".
199QUERY founder Seb Maslin says "I'm proud to sponsor the games, its a good chance to do something cool with SMS and TV to an audience who'll love it, and an audience I was once part of."
The bespoke question service 199QUERY answers any query sent in via SMS using a team of researchers who personally answer every question. This enables the service to provide tailored sports results, minutes after games have finished playing.
The 2007 University Games is being held on the Gold Coast between 23rd and 28th September and features over 6,000 participants from around Australia competing in over 30 sports.
199QUERY has been operating since April 2007 and has answered 1,000s of questions from the latest AFL score to who has the best cricket average this season.
